Peoria’s Adaptive Recreation program will host virtual race

Peoria’s Adaptive Recreation Program will host a virtual amazing race, Geoteaming’s Virtual Amazing GEORace, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

Participants can create a team or sign up individually to compete in interactive challenges on smart devices. Registration is required and race link and details will be shared after registering.

The city offers activities for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families/caregivers. From after-school programs to dances and parties to workshops for parents and the award-winning Special Olympics program, Team Peoria.

Peoria’s Adaptive Recreation Program has been serving individuals with disabilities since 1986.
