Peoria Unified releases new podcast
Posted
Peoria Unified just released the first episode of its new podcast, the Progress Report.
In episodes of the Progress Report, the district will breakdown current district projects and programs into more depth than is provided in the bi-weekly PUSD podcast, Trending Peoria.
Each episode will focus on major updates within Peoria Unified including the Strategic Plan, voter initiatives and academic achievement.
Similar to Trending Peoria, the Progress Report features interviews from Peoria Unified employees. Depending on the subject matter, interviews may also include teachers, administrators, support staff, students, community members and industry experts.
The district’s first episode will provide a Strategic Plan update and include feedback from the Parent Engagement Forum, held last month. You can read more about this episode below:
This fall, Peoria Unified will enter the restart and rebuild stage of its Strategic Plan. The episode expalins how this reimagined plan will span three to five years and position Peoria Unified as a national leader in preK-12 education. The plan is centered on four strategic perspectives: Student Learning, Safety and Well-Being, Community Connectedness and Stewardship of Resources.
Over the last several months, district leaders have met with stakeholders to discuss the plan and gather feedback. This episode features Peoria Unified Superintendent Jason Reynolds, as he shares the status of the district’s Strategic Plan and what the community can look forward to in the coming years.
Also featured is Erik Stone, principal of Parkridge Elementary School, who served as a facilitator at the parent engagement forum, who discusses some of the feedback received by the district.
Just like Trending Peoria, episodes will be shared on all major podcast platforms via the Peoria Insider, the district’s award-winning employee and parent newsletter, and on all district social media platforms on a quarterly basis.
