Peoria redistricting maps are due, Oct. 31

Posted

Peoria residents must submit their redistricting maps by Oct. 31.

By using online mapping software, residents can rebalance  city council districts to equal populations and submit new maps.

As required by federal law, redistricting is the process of adjusting voting district boundaries in accordance with population shifts from 2020 census data.

Peoria’s population has grown to 191,000, an increase of more than 35,000 residents since 2010.

New council district boundaries will be in effect for the August and November 2022 elections.
