Peoria offers not-for-profit opportunities

The City of Peoria is now accepting proposals for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as Peoria General Fund Not-for-Profit funds.

In fiscal year 2021-2022, the city anticipates receiving CDBG funds of approximately $830,000, HOME funds of approximately $220,000, and anticipates $196,500 of general fund monies will be made available.

The proposal submission deadline for agencies who wish to utilize these funds is 5 p.m. Jan. 25, 2021, via ZoomGrants.

Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), the City of Peoria will receive approximately $979,134 in additional federal CDBG CV funds.

These funds must be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Use of the CDBG CV funds is restricted to CDBG-eligible purposes, and cannot be used for activities that are being covered by other federal, state or local resources. The proposal submission deadline for agencies who wish to use these funds is 5p.m. Jan. 25, 2021, via email submission.
