The American Legion Post 62 hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation dinner and celebration.
The Post is located at 9847 W. Desert Cove Ave., Peoria.
American Legion Riders (ALR) president and Glendale resident Harvey Pospisil “Pops” awarded:
“Certificate of Appreciation and Outstanding Contributions” to Sun City resident Dave Hale
“ALR Volunteer of the Year” to Wendy Ernst from Avondale
“ALR Volunteer of the Year” Tom Smith from Sun City West
American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) president and Peoria resident Tammy Early awarded:
“ALA Rookie of the Year” to Sun City resident Beth Olive
“ALA Volunteer of the Year” to Sun City resident Benita Wykert
“ALA Member of the Year” to Sun City resident Shirley Klein
As a special ceremony, Sun City residents Doris Theiss and Jane Shoemaker were presented with “Lifetime Achievement Presidential Volunteer Service Awards” for their over 60 years of combined service to the American Legion Auxiliary.
