Launch the next hit podcast series at Peoria Library Amplify Studio

You can now podcast professionally in Peoria.

The city of Peoria, in partnership with Arizona State University’s J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute and Peoria Forward, present Amplify Studio, a full service podcast studio located inside the Peoria Main Library. Amplify Studio is designed for all levels of podcasting experience and provides a quiet recording space and high quality equipment that is free to use upon completion of an online training course.

“Peoria’s libraries continue to evolve and this studio is one more way that we’ve partnered with ASU to expand resources and technology for our community,” said Mayor Cathy Carlat. “Amplify Studio is the first West Valley podcast studio that is freely accessible to the community and we look forward to welcoming artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, and educators into this space to create their own podcasts.”

Amplify Studio offers a soundproof environment with a suite of technology for recording and producing podcasts.

The studio is available by reservation after completion of the free online training course designed to help users have an independent studio experience. Once completed, patrons can call 623-773-7556 to check availability and schedule time. Reservations are available Monday through Thursday from noon - 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from noon - 3 p.m.

“Amplify Studio is a great example of how community anchors like the Peoria Public Library can collaborate with the Peoria Forward program, a dynamic partnership between the city of Peoria and the J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute at Arizona State University, to increase resource access for local entrepreneurs,” said Eric Heimbecker, ASU senior program manager. “Peoria Forward helped secure the studio’s high-quality equipment and is continuing to collaborate with librarians, as well as hosts of popular local podcasts, to create events that make starting a podcast more approachable.”

The Peoria Main Library is located at 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria, AZ, 85345. For information, visit www.peoriaaz.gov/library or call 623-773-7556.
