Jonnie was born on January 30, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan to John and Myrna Mahoney. She grew up in South Lyon and Brighton, Michigan with her parents and siblings. Jonnie had many adventures in her life, including traveling the country promoting NASCAR, working in property management, and doing what she enjoyed most, being a homemaker. Jonnie married her love, John Cole on December 12, 2020 and then was diagnosed with brain cancer on January 18, 2021. She fought her cancer battle hard but surrendered comfortably and peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. in her home, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Jonnie is missed by so many, including her husband John Cole; children from her first marriage, Jacey and Joe LeClair and Craig and Liz Weinburger; stepdaughters, Kimberly Cole and Bille Rae Moore and their families; her grandchildren, (by age): Brianna (Koel) Smith, Wyatt (Bri) LeClair, Jake LeClair, Serena LeClair, Jenna LeClair, and Chase Weinburger; and great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Jaxson Smith, and Zoey Smith. Jonnie is preceded in death by her parents, older sister, Janet Stahl and her older brother Pat Mahoney. She is survived by her sister Jean (Harland) Latson, and brothers Mike (Bev) Mahoney, Tim (Sue) Mahoney, and Kevin (Kathy) Mahoney. Jonnie was close with all of her nieces and nephews, and so many friends. We will all miss the time she spent with us, the unconditional love she gave, her sense of humor, and her beautiful smile.
