Henry “Hank” Engert

March 26, 1935-June 17, 2021

Posted

Hank died June 17 at the age of 86 from mesothelioma. He was born on a small farm in Alberta, Canada. At 17 he lied about his age to get a job working in a natural gas plant. He then spent his career working for such companies as Hudson Bay, Amoco and British Petroleum. He enjoyed hiking, kayaking, tennis and traveling in his RV but his true passion was golf. He won many tournaments and ran a local golf group, the LoCaps, for several years.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Stevens, sons Russ and Joey, daughter Cindy Engert McArthur, sister Shirley Gibb, and grandsons Jordan, Blair, Hayden, Nate and Garrett.
Services are pending. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley who cared for him so compassionately during his long illness.
