Francis (Frank) Eugene Meyer

Francis (Frank), passed away May 7, 2020 at his home in Peoria, Arizona with his wife of 59 years by his side. Frank married the love of his life on April 23, 1961 Theodora (Teddy) Leigh Oliver.
Frank was the first of ten children born to Paul and Iva Meyer in New Plymouth, Idaho on August 26,1941.
This great man is survived by his wife Teddy Meyer of Arizona; four children: Major Nathalie (Van) Young of California, Karen (Mike) Walker of Illinois, Paul (Tamara) Meyer of Washington and William (Kim) Meyer of Oregon; 16 grandchildren: Shanna Janssen, Judah Young, Hollie Young, Christopher Johnson, Jessica Johnson all of Washington, Jessie Ness of Minnesota, Gabreal Young of California, Jeffery Walker, Steven Walker, McKenzie Walker all of Illinois, Nicole Meyer, Austin Meyer, Zoe Meyer all of Kentucky, Kyle Jensen, Rosamae Meyer, Katie Jensen all of Oregon; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four sisters: Virginia Brown, Doris Mueller, Dorothy Brown and Florence Caldwell; and four brothers: Bernard Meyer, Danny Meyer, Ernest Meyer and Robert Meyer (who passed away 3 weeks after Frank). He was preceded in death by both parents, Paul and Iva Meyer; one brother, Clifford Meyer, and one nephew, Brian Meyer.
Frank and Teddy raised their four children in Skamokawa, Washington where Frank worked as a Mechanic in the Wahkiakum area.
Before retiring and traveling around with the love of his life and then finally settling down in Peoria, Arizona in 2009. He was involved in everything from 4-H to volunteer firefighter. If you needed something Frank was sure to help you get it. Frank enjoyed fishing, woodworking, Horses, watching sporting events, doing anything and everything for his family, cooking, traveling, spoiling his grandkids (when he wasn’t pranking them), he loved spending time with family be it blood or by heart. Even in death he wanted to help others. After fighting a long hard battle with cancer, it won and he didn’t let it stop him from donating his body to science.
A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service to honor this great family man will be held July 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Vista Park in Skamokawa, Washington. Frank’s daughter Major Nathalie Young of the Salvation Army will be officiating the services per her dad’s last wishes.
