The Peoria Unified School District will host a Community eForum 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 to introduce the four superintendent finalists to the community. The forum will be streamed to the district’s website, Cox Channel 11, the district’s Facebook page and available for playback at peoriaunified.org/superintendentsearch. This forum will be hosted by Jeff Berggren, Huntington University director of Arizona Operations. Mr. Berggren will ask four predetermined questions, based on community feedback sent in a few weeks ago. The finalist will have 15 minutes to answer all four questions. Following the forum, a link will be available on the district’s website through noon Friday, Dec. 13 where feedback on the candidates may be provided to the Governing Board. Earlier this school year, Superintendent Linda Palles Thompson announced her intent to retire on June 30, 2020. The Peoria Unified Governing Board has contracted with McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, a third-party search firm, to conduct a search to fill this vacancy. On Monday, Nov. 18, the Peoria Unified Governing Board selected four superintendent finalists.
