The city of Peoria will host  an open house about the new trails and related names and maps, as well as a discussion on how to use them, Oct. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Paloma Community Park, 29799 N. Lake Pleasant Pkwy.

This is an opportunity to sign up to volunteer on the city's Peoria Trail Stewards team as well as a chance to network with like-minded people.

In addition, the city is asking residents to weigh in on the names that best capture the nature of the Paloma Regional Preserve Trails.

Take a trail naming survey at www.peoriaaz.gov/trails. The survey closes Oct. 11.
