In Maricopa County, which includes Peoria, a combination of wood burning and stagnant weather conditions can create poor air quality during the winter season.
In an effort to reduce smoke produced by outdoor wood burning fire pits, the Maricopa County Air Quality Department has created a Propane Fire Pit Program in partnership with the Arizona Propane Gas Association, the Propane Education and Research Council, and Home Depot.
Sign up online at http://CleanAirMakeMore.com/firepit and receive a $75 voucher toward the purchase of an outdoor propane fire pit at participating Home Depot locations. In-store and online fire pit options are available, but all vouchers must first be redeemed in-store.
