Check out StoryWalk in Peoria
Posted
The city of Peoria will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies at Pioneer and Paloma community parks to welcome two StoryWalks to the city, Oct. 9.
Children of all ages can see their favorite stories come to life in the park.
With the help of a grant from the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records and federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the city of Peoria will be the fourth city in the Valley to have StoryWalks.
Peoria will be launching two StoryWalks on Oct. 9, “I Am Peace” by Susan Verde at Pioneer Community Park at 9 a.m. and “From Head to Toe” by Eric Carle at Paloma Community Park at 10:30 a.m.
Mayor Cathy Carlat will share some remarks and then librarians will lead residents through the StoryWalks.
