Be prepared for the Peoria library remodel

Posted

The Peoria Main library is about to begin a remodel June 14, and officials are asking patrons to pardon the dust.

The library will remain open throughout the remodel, but both parking lots will have reduced  capacity because of the construction. City officials recommend patrons use the above and below ground parking garage off of 85th and Cinnabar avenues for parking.

Construction is expected to be complete in October.

The $2.4 million remodel will be undertaking interior and exterior improvements to the library. They include an improved youth courtyard, remodeled lobby/restrooms, updated community rooms, new service desks, new carpeting throughout the building, as well as a contactless automated check in station.
