Peoria City Council approved a contract amendment in the amount of $1 million with Phoenix-based B & F Contracting to provide construction services for the rehabilitation of more than 3,800 linear feet of large diameter trunk sewer main.
In 2017, the city of Peoria conducted a trunk sewer system condition assessment, which inventoried and assessed more than 55 miles of trunk sewer lines in the city wastewater collection system.
Of these 55 miles, about 5 miles were identified as being in poor condition and assigned a grade of 4 or 5.
Grade 5 are identified as having failed or likely to fail in the next 5 years and possessing defects requiring immediate attention. Grade 4 trunk sewer lines are likely to fail within 5 to 10 years and possessing severe defects.
