Fire-medical department to honor Capt. David Stutzman

The Peoria Fire-Medical Department will honor the life of retired Capt. David Stutzman, who lost his battle with occupational cancer on June 15.

The celebration of life will be July 13, at Christ's Church of the Valley, 7007 W. Happy Valley Road. Seating begins at 10 a.m. and services start at 11 a.m.

Stutzman served with the Peoria department from 1980 to 2015.

He was 65 years old and is survived by the mother of his children, Toni Stutzman, and two sons, Aaron and Austin Stutzman. Aaron is currently a firefighter with the Peoria Fire-Medical Department.
