Xavier students reach highest honor in International Thespian Society

Posted

Several students from Xavier College Prep achieved the highest award in the International Thespian Society.

They donated their talents and time to the theatre department both on stage and behind the scenes, according to a press release.

“It has been such an honor to have worked with and taught these amazing ladies. They are passionate about theatre, and it is evident in their actions. Some of these young women plan to go on and study theatre in college.

I am so proud of them. I will miss the seniors and treasure the experience of my first year at Xavier forever because of them,” said Jessica Vining, Xavier acting and director theatre teacher, in a prepared statement.

The International Thespian Society is considered an honor society for theatre students. Their time is equivalent to an excess of 1,200 hours of time. The majority of the awardees worked behind the scenes.

They are:

  • Tatum Allen
  • Maria Arvizu-Diaz
  • Grace Dimond
  • Tessa Gaynor
  • Nicole Goldman
  • Grace McGovern
  • Allison Tichavsky
  • Eden Tornquist
  • Sara Watson
