Xavier College Prep student-athletes sign NLIs

It was a busy morning at Xavier College Preparatory on Nov. 13 when 10 student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent. 

The student-athletes, according to a press release, were recruited and accepted offers from:

  • Katie Donahey, softball --- Yale University
  • Taylor Killoren, crew --- University of San Diego
  • Jasmine Knight, volleyball --- Virginia Commonwealth University
  • Clara Lynch, soccer --- Southern Methodist University
  • Breyana Matthews, golf --- Arizona State University
  • Bri McNight, volleyball --- University of California at Santa Barbara
  • Ashley Menne, golf --- Arizona State University
  • Mia Olsen, cross-country/track --- Southern Methodist University
  • Megan Onofrei, soccer --- Roanoke College
  • Olivia Petrine, crew ---San Diego State University

Sister Lynn Winsor, vice principal for activities and athletic director, spoke to the young women, their families, and coaches at the occasion. 

“We are especially proud of these young women who lived their athletic journey at Xavier,” she said. 

“This is a testament to their dedication, the support of their families and the support of the Xavier community. We are appreciative and happy that so many of their family members, coaches, and friends came out to support them today.” 

Ms. Winsor expects by the end of 2020 school year, 30 Xavier College Prep student-athletes will sign National Letters of Intent. 

Xavier College Preparatory is an all-girls’ Catholic high school in Phoenix that aims to prepares young women of faith with knowledge, skills and integrity to meet the challenges of a changing global society.
