The question will appear on the General Election ballot on Nov. 8, according to a press release. The current override was approved by voters in November 2016 and will expire in June 2024.

If approved in November, the renewed, seven-year override would bring in $14.5 million in funding that would be used to provide such things as curriculum materials and school technology; school furniture, fixtures and equipment; fine arts, athletics, and library equipment/materials; playground equipment and facilities.

The current override produces $8.5 million in additional funding and is used for the same purposes as stated above. The tax rate for the current override is $0.1381 per $100 of net assessed valuation. The estimated tax rate for the renewed override is $0.23 per $100 of net assessed valuation, according to the release.
