Rauch: We heard your call for in-person general plan outreach

Paradise Valley hosts ‘pop-up’ info booth at Town Hall

Posted

Paradise Valley is in the process of updating the town’s general plan.

The general plan is a long-range document that helps guide decision-making regarding growth and development over the next 20 years.

The Paradise Valley general plan is relevant to all who live, work, visit and invest in the town. All of Paradise Valley is invited to collaborate and engage in surveys and conversations to bring forth new ideas and bring more people into the General Plan Update process.

The first Community Workshop was held on Jan. 27, and a rebroadcast of that informative workshop can be found on the town website (paradisevalleyaz.gov) or on the project website (pvtogether2022.com).

On the project website you can also stay connected by signing up to be placed on the project email list or simply reach out with any general plan related comments or questions by contacting me at 480-348-3595 or emailing me at lrauch@paradisevalleyaz.gov.

The General Plan Community Survey and the Mapping Survey will continue to be available on the project website (pvtogether2022/engage.com).

In addition, to better serve those residents who may not feel entirely comfortable with a digital format, suffer from computer fatigue, or simply long for the days of pen and paper the town will provide printed copies of the Community Survey.

Starting Wednesday, Feb. 3, you can pick-up/drop-off your copy of the Community Survey in the Town Hall lobby open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday (Closed President’s Day Feb. 15).

Whether you take the surveys on-line or the old fashion way they must be completed by March 1.

Want to share your feedback in-person?

Look for the pop-up display in front of Town Hall.

Every Thursday in February from noon to 2 p.m. you can stop by to learn about the process, sign-up to be placed on the project email list, pick-up/drop-off your survey, fill out a comment card, or complete a “mapping activity” to show us what you like or what you may want to see changed.

Again, the best way to stay informed throughout the process is to visit the Project Website (pvtogether2022.com) or contact me at 480-348-3595 or lrauch@paradisevalleyaz.gov.
