Phoenix Heart Ball hosts mid-year meeting at Tarbell's

Posted

In preparation for the upcoming 63rd Annual Phoenix Heart Ball,  the organization's mid-year meeting was hosted by Mark Tarbell, the honorary chair for this year's ball benefiting the American Heart Association of Arizona.

The mid-year meeting, held at Tarbell's on May 11, invited members from the American Heart Association of Arizona and the committee working on the ball to enjoy a meal together before the main event.

Through the Heart of Phoenix Heart Ball campaign, the American Heart Association of Arizona celebrates its collective success in driving change, funding science and improving behaviors, according to the ball's website.

The event raises money to support programming that encourages awareness about heart disease for all ages in an effort to promote heart health. Funds raised are also used for research and discoveries related to heart disease and stroke.

This year's Phoenix Heart Ball is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19, and additionally, the Heart Ball's Addressing Luncheon will be held on Sept. 28 at the Phoenician.
