Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral will showcase art by Lee Antcliffe and Dair Deckert, 10 a.m-3 p.m., Tuesdays-Fridays, from Dec. 30 to Jan 29 at 100 W. Roosevelt St., Phoenix.

A First Friday artist reception will be held 6-9 p.m., Jan 3, according to a press release.

For the exhibit, Ms. Antcliffe focuses on dogs and the Australian Rainbow Eucalyptus as her expressionistic oil and watercolor paintings can be sublime or humorous, the release said.

Ms. Antcliffe, who grew up in the Pacific Northwest and majored in art education at the University of Washington, also studied art at Mexico City College, the release said, describing her influence by the massive murals and folk art of Mexico City.

She has exhibited in galleries throughout Arizona and recently at Pedregal Gallery in Carefree, added the release.

Likewise, Ms. Deckert uses impasto brushstrokes, creating colorful impressionistic landscapes that envelop the viewer, according to the release.

Ms. Deckert majored in Art History at the University of Michigan and continued her art studies in Florence, Italy, Paris, France, and Phuket, Thailand.

She is in corporate and personal collections in the USA, Europe, and Thailand, the release said, adding that she hopes her work will give the viewer a chance to reflect and renew.
