Nine Notre Dame Prep athletes sign Letters of Intent
Posted
Nine Notre Dame Prep student-athletes signed letters of intent to compete at the college level during the early National Letter of Intent Signing Day.
More than 200 people, including parents, teachers, coaches, counselors and teammates, witnessed the signing ceremony on Nov. 10, in the Dale M. Jenson Gymnasium at Notre Dame Prep, according to a press release.
The NDP Saints who signed their letters were:
Ryann Bloom, volleyball, Lee University;
Acacia Connor, lacrosse, Syracuse University;
McKenna Douglas, volleyball, San Diego State University;
Chris Gaudio, baseball, Santa Clara University;
Tommy Laporte, baseball, Chandler-Gilbert Community College
Maddy White, sand volleyball, University of Southern California.
Signees were asked why they committed to their chosen college or university, the release said.
“I chose to play sand volleyball at USC because they have a great program, and I felt at home when I visited there,” said White, a member of the No. 1-ranked NDP girls’ varsity volleyball team, in the release.
The football early-period Letter of Intent Signing Day is set for Wednesday, Dec. 15, noted the release.
“We are so proud of all of our student-athletes and wish them well with their college careers,” said Steve Shaff, NDP assistant athletic director, in the release. “We hope they remember that they are forever Saints.”
Notre Dame Preparatory is a Diocesan Catholic High School in Scottdale with a co-ed enrollment of 862 students.
The school has received local and national recognition for the caliber of its academic, arts and athletic programs. NDP students show their care for humanity by logging more than 21,000 service hours each year, added the release.
