‘I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers’ opens March 27

iTheatre Collaborative, Resident Company on the Kax Stage at the Herberger Theater Center, will open “I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers” by John Logan on March 27.

Directed by Rosemary Close, according to a press release, noted “Valley theater icon,” Laura Durant will star in this Arizona premiere.

Invited into her glamorous Beverly Hills home for an evening of dish, dirty secrets and all the inside showbiz details only Sue Menger can divulge, for more than 20 years, her clients were the biggest names in show business from Barbra Streisand, Faye Dunaway, to Burt Reynolds, Cher and Nick Nolte who were considered the talk of the town.

However, Sue was considered the town as her dinner parties were the envy of Hollywood, the release detailed.

This play contains a warning about profanity, smoking, alcohol consumption, drug use, and gossip, said the release.

“I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers” will run March 27-April 11 at Kax Stage at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe. Performances times in the Kax are at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Doors open half hour prior to curtain.

General Admission is $25 for Fridays and Saturdays; $20 on Sundays; all Thursday performances are $10, noted the release.

Seniors 65 and up are $18; students/military are $12 with valid ID at the box office. Theater artists including actors, directors, designers pay $12 when presenting headshot/resume or recent playbill with credit at the box office.

All tickets have an additional 10% Herberger box office fee per ticket, the release added.
