Hermosa Inn, Lon’s reopens with myriad experiences, offerings

Paradise Valley's The Hermosa Inn and its restaurant, LON’s, reopened June 17 with enhanced care and cleanliness protocols to ensure guests’ comfort and safety.

The Hermosa Inn’s single-level layout, which features 43 luxury casitas on 6 acres, is conducive to self-distancing with its individual outdoor entrances, expansive private patios and absence of elevators and indoor hallways, according to a press release. In-room dining from the LON’s menu is available as a drop-and-go touchless service.

With newly implemented processes to promote social distancing, LON’s will be open for breakfast, lunch, Sunday brunch (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and dinner (6-9 p.m.) by reservation only.

The restaurant is offering a $49 three course summer prix-fixe menu through Sept. 13.

The first course options include crab and cheese stuffed tempura McClendon squash blossoms; watermelon gazpacho with lime-marinated shrimp; and marinated local heirloom tomatoes with grilled noble bread and crow’s goat cheese curds.

Entrees include Alaskan halibut; dry-aged Duroc pork chop; and roasted Mary’s chicken. Dessert follows with the option of the olive oil Semolina cake with Pinnacle Farms peaches and honey gelato, among others.

Beginning July 2, LON’s will also make available its win cellar, which will feature a five-course tasting menu ($69 per person) along with a wine pairing option ($35 per person). This experience is open to parties of two or more Thursday through Sunday nights. A reservation is required.

The restaurant will also host Sunday brunch with a variety of options from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For $34 a person, patrons can order the HAcienda Brunch for two, which features a shared starter, two entrees or salads and two alcoholic beverages.

LON’s is also offering an extended happy hour through Sept. 13, running from 4 p.m. to close. This time period will include reduced pricing on Arizona craft canned beer, wines on tap and draft cocktails.

The restaurant is offering a BBQ Board for two, which is available through Sept. 13. This package, which costs $36, includes short rib sliders, smoked pork sausage, smoked chicken lollipop drumsticks, grilled elote and coleslaw.

The Hermosa Inn is also offering its Summer in Paradise Getaway package, which is available through Sept. 30, with rates starting at $159.

This package includes overnight accommodations, two drink tickets upon arrival per room, $25 daily food and beverage credit and daily poolside treats. Upgrades are available upon arrival and are based on availability.

The inn’s pollside cabans are available from 8 a.m. to sunset with numerous food and bevarage options. Cabana rentals start at $75.
