Library services still available during COVID-19 pandemic

The Maricopa County Library District facilities remain closed until further notice, but county libraries are still providing critical services to the public, including digital learning opportunities. The health and safety of all who enjoy libraries remains the top priority.

In addition to extending due dates for books already checked out of a library, MCLD has increased the number of electronic media items card holders can check out per month, according to a release.

Livestream content has been increased and parents are encouraged to visit the Library District calendar for educational content for children home from school. Genealogy researchers can temporarily access the Ancestry Library by visiting mcldaz.org under the research section.

Digital access is available to Maricopa County residents who do not have a current library card.

Temporary digital cards are available for the duration of library closures.

Video tutorials are available to help new users connect, and staff are available for assistance via phone at 602-652-3000 or online at extranet.mcldaz.org/.
