Esther Slager, age 98, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. She was born October 15, 1923 in New York, New York. Esther was a Rhythm Tapper in Sun City West and, in her earlier years, performed internationally with the USO. She also enjoyed being a volunteer at Banner Del Webb Hospital, playing mah jongg, canasta, bowling and golf.
Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sister, Doris Goldfarb; and brothers: Joseph, Harry, and Max Goldfarb. She is survived by her sons, Michael Slager of Albuquerque, NM and Richard Slager of Sun City West, AZ; grandsons, Jonathan Slager also of Albuquerque, NM and Jeremy Slager (Allison) of Wakefield, MA; and great-granddaughters, Evelyn Hatch and Norah Slager of Wakefield, MA.
A funeral service for Esther will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. Following the funeral will be a committal service at Sunland Memorial Park.
