Call for Town of Paradise Valley committee volunteers

The Town of Paradise Valley seeks residents interested in sharing their time and experience by serving on one of the town’s volunteer committees.

The Town of Paradise Valley has a proud tradition of volunteer service. In addition to the all-volunteer mayor, Town Council, and municipal court judges, more than 50 residents donate their time to serve on various committees, commissions and boards.

Volunteer opportunities include reviewing land-use applications and variances, organizing public art programs, preserving the town’s history, promoting public safety programs and resources, and providing other vital assistance to the town administration.

A complete list of committees, their descriptions, and their past actions may be viewed at https://paradisevalleyaz.gov/volunteer.

Applications may be completed and submitted online, or you may send a resume and cover letter to the Town Clerk’s Office, 6401 E. Lincoln Drive at any time throughout the year.

Committee appointments are made at the end of March with new terms beginning April 1. To be considered in the 2021 appointment cycle, submit your application by Feb. 4.

Every applicant will be considered, and those not selected will be kept on file to provide a pool of candidates to fill vacancies which may become available during the year, according to a press release.

It is not necessary to list a committee preference when you apply. There will be an opportunity to meet with the Council to discuss your unique background, skills, and interests so that a mutually agreeable position can be found that meets a town need and interests you.

Contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 480-348-3610 if you would like additional information.
