Banner Urgent Care has opened an urgent care near Tatum Boulevard and Thunderbird Road to provide the most convenient care possible to Paradise Valley and north Phoenix residents, it announced June 22 in a press release.

The urgent care, located at 4760 E. Thunderbird Road, Suite 1, is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“We are always focused on customer needs, and we believe this location will offer the community access to the right care at the right time,’’ Brian Standage, chief executive officer of Banner Health Urgent Care Services – Ambulatory, said in a press release. “Right now, we are helping a lot of people by providing COVID-19 testing. During cold and flu season, we can offer flu vaccinations and easy-to-access care. And of course, we provide outstanding care for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses as well.’’

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Banner Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing as well as care for common medical conditions such as sinus infections, bronchial infections, sore throats, insect bites and urinary-tract infections.

Additional urgent care services include flu shots, X-rays, sports physicals, stitches and diagnostic tests, according to the press release.

For added convenience, patients can reserve their spot in advance by scheduling online. Banner Urgent Care also offers telehealth appointments so patients can get the care they need at home.
