Karin Gunderson will be in concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Paradise Valley.
Ms. Gunderson, author of “Encounters with Heaven - Stories of God’s Surprising Presence” will present “Encounter with Heaven,” which is an “experiential evening” combining her true stories, according to a press release, describing her work as a hospice harpist accompanied by the harp, vocals, congregational singing and stories from her hospice work.
Ms. Gunderson will be available to sign CDs, DVDs, and her book, the release said.
The public is invited to enjoy a combination of peaceful music on popular and Christian pieces like “What a Wonderful World,” and “It is Well with My Soul,” noted the release, adding that participants can sing a few favorite hymns as well.
“It is a privilege to be able to host this concert by such a talented musician at Ascension Lutheran Church” said the pastor, Randy Winsand, in a prepared statement.
“We are excited to present this event for the community to hear and enjoy the sounds and stories of Karin’s journey.”
Ascension Lutheran Church is at 7100 North Mockingbird Lane in Paradise Valley.
