Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows has named Jeffrey Miller as new general manager.

As a 30-year veteran of Hyatt Hotels Corp, Mr. Miller has served as general manager for many premier properties in the Andaz portfolio including Andaz Wall Street, Andaz San Diego, Andaz Napa and Andaz Palm Springs, according to a press release.

With extensive experience in building and redefining hotel programs that bring the Andaz brand to life, Mr. Miller will oversee the hotel’s staff and operations, community relations efforts and serve as curator for a variety of new hotel programming ranging from arts partnerships, culinary events, wellness programs and more.

“Andaz Scottsdale is such a unique property with a deep connection to the local arts scene that has made it a destination for sophisticated travelers and art-lovers from all over the world,” said Mr. Miller in a prepared statement.

“Part of our efforts to broaden the reach of the property will include locally-driven partnerships and events that showcase the fun and playful nature of the Andaz brand, our food and beverage programs as well as our award-winning spa/apothecary concept and the property overall.”

Originally from California, Mr. Miller says that Scottsdale feels like a second home.

“Scottsdale is an exciting and vibrant city that’s become a one-of-a-kind must-visit destination for people from all over the world,” he said. “Sophisticated global travelers seek out Andaz properties because they are known to deliver a stylish and immersive local experience. We take a lot of pride in how we infuse local culture into the brand and each individual property.”

Recognized by Conde Nast Traveler 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards as one of the top resorts in the Southwest and Travel + Leisure 2018 It List, Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows combines mid-century modern design with local art to create an exceptional Sonoran Desert experience.

Inspired by the colorful palate of the desert and timeless design of Alexander Girard, this secluded 23-acre, 185-bungalow urban oasis is uniquely away from it all, in the middle of everything in the heart of Scottsdale.

“There is nowhere else that exemplifies the resort lifestyle quite like Scottsdale,” Mr. Miller said. “As a premier resort destination offering exceptional restaurants, wellness, spa and property amenities, it is my goal to enhance the property as a hotspot for visitors and locals alike.”

With a commitment to hotel’s locally driven programming and community engagement, Mr. Miller has identified several new initiatives he plans to implement as part of brand efforts to build the connection of the hotel with the local culture and scene.

Cattle Track Arts and Preservation will continue to be a key partner in the resort’s art focus, the press release stated.
