Maracay closes on land purchase in Goodyear gated community

Posted

Maracay, a wholly owned company of the TRI Pointe Group, has closed on 75 premium homesites located inside the Sedella community at the northwest corner of Indian School and Citrus roads in Goodyear. The transaction totaled $8.43 million dollars.

The parcel of finished lots will be developed into a new, gated, single-family home neighborhood featuring all single-story homes, ranging from approximately 2,695 to 4,347 square feet. Select floor plans will offer attached RV garage options for recreational vehicles. Maracay anticipates sales for this community will begin in the second half of 2020.

The homesites are part of the final residential phase of the 638-acre Sedella community, engineered by Cardno.

“This transaciton will allow Maracay to offer new homes in the last gated parcel in the Sedella master plan,” said Jason Weber, Maracay’s vice president of land acquisitions and development. “Since it is so close to the White Tank Mountains, Lake Pleasant, Imperial Sand Dunes and a number of national parks, Maracay will offer RV garage options to accommodate an active outdoor lifestyle.”

Homeowners at Sedella have easy access to the Interstate 10 and Loop 303 freeway, and a number of public and charter schools, including the new Belen Soto Elementary School located inside the masterplan. In addition, the Sedella community is near a variety of shopping, entertainment, sports and live music venues.
