‘Super Snowy Saturday’ holiday event Dec. 10 at Mesa Riverview

Mesa Riverview, an open-air shopping center in Mesa, invites the community to its “Super Snowy Saturday” holiday event noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

“During this fun-filled afternoon, children 12 and under will have fun playing in 20 tons of real snow — no matter what the weatherman says the temperature is in Arizona,” according to a release. “There will be Merry Hay Wagon Rides with Santa in the parking lot near the event. Guests can also visit with Mrs. Claus and a number of her winter friends, including a snow queen an ice princess and a snowball ball walker. A photo booth in a vintage Airstream trailer, a DJ spinning holiday tunes and other exciting entertainment will add to the festive atmosphere throughout the event.”

The event is to be held in the plaza near Cinemark, 1051 N. Dobson Road, and the Hubbard Swim School, 1061 N. Dobson Road No. 101, both at Mesa Riverview.

The first 200 children to attend will receive a $5 Cinemark gift card while supplies last. While the event is free and open to the public and no pre-registration is required, attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event; all toys collected will be donated to the Mesa Fire and Medical Department’s Holiday Toy Drive.
