Police: Gym member stole credit cards from lockers, used them in Mesa, Tempe

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a series of credit card burglaries from gym lockers and using them at businesses in Mesa and Tempe, police said.
Mesa police officers arrested Gregory Freeman, 39, on Friday, Oct. 28, in Tempe. Freeman was booked into jail and held on a $2,600 bond.
The Mesa Police Department began investigating a series of gym locker burglaries at two different EōS Fitness locations in Mesa on Sept. 28.
Officers used video surveillance obtained from businesses where the suspect used the stolen credit cards and compared it to surveillance video provided from EōS Fitness to link six locker burglaries to 11 credit card thefts and eight fraudulent uses, police said in a release.
The suspect was an EōS Fitness member, according to authorities.
One victim encountered the suspect in a locker room before his locker was burglarized and was able to identify the man to police, according to the release.
Freeman faces charges of third-degree burglary, theft of a credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card.
