Posted

Cinnaholic, a fast growing plant-based concept, opens Friday, Nov. 4, in the Mountain Vista Marketplace at South Signal Butte Road and Southern Avenue in Mesa.

The business at 1252 S. Signal Butte Road Suite No. 105 will offer the brand’s plant-based, allergen-friendly cinnamon rolls and other desserts seven days a week.

To kick things off, Cinnaholic – Mesa is hosting a grand opening party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on opening day where each guest will enjoy a cinnamon roll of their choice for $2, limit one per customer.

Cinnaholic has grown in popularity in the past two years with more than 70 locations operating in the U.S. and Canada, more than 30 in development and 50 more locations anticipated for 2023. Cinnaholic was recently ranked among Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500 list.

As with all Cinnaholic stores, Cinnaholic – Mesa is locally owned and operated, including this location owned by Marissa Selby and Joshua Starnes. The couple both have years of experience working in the fast-casual restaurant space, including Selby who works at the Cinnaholic – Gilbert location. The couple have long dreamed of owning a restaurant, and in spring 2021 they decided to make Cinnaholic their first restaurant venture. Both Selby and Starnes are vegan, and are active in the fitness community in the Mesa area.

“I began working at Cinnaholic because I loved the delicious cinnamon rolls and the culture of the restaurant, and within a short time of working there, I knew I wanted to be part of it long-term,” said Selby, Cinnaholic – Mesa co-owner. “Josh and I are so excited to open the first Mesa location for Cinnaholic and continue to introduce this amazing plant-based concept to our community.”

Cinnaholic – Mesa will offer the same menu as all other locations, including the cinnamon rolls, edible cookie dough and additional sweet treats like brownies, cookies, “Baby Buns” and “Cinnacakes.” Seasonal menu items are anticipated including the pumpkin spice roll.

Cinnaholic – Mesa will offer catering and large-size ordering as well for events, meetings and more. All Cinnaholic products are 100 percent vegan, dairy and lactose-free, egg-free, cholesterol-free and allergen-friendly.
