Surprise's MLK celebration going virtual this year

This year's Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration and Service is going virtual for the city of Surprise.

To honor of the life and work of Dr. King, the city is hosting a program celebrating his life, leading into a day of community service, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.

It will feature an interview with Civil Rights leader Andrew Young

To join the program, watch Surprise TV.

The program will also be on the city's Facebook and Instagram pages.
