Litchfield Park residents interested in serving on one of four city boards or commissions have until 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26 to apply.

Jena Huffman, assistant to the council and city manager, said there are three seats each open on the Board of Adjustmen/Design Review Board and Industrial Development Authority Board, and five seats each open on the Planning and Zoning and Recreation and Public Grounds commissions.

To be eligible to serve, applicants must be 18 or older and have lived in the city full time for at least one year. City employees or appointed officers are not eligible for appointment.

Applicants interested in serving on more than one board are asked to rank their appointment preferences.

They also are asked to answer a series of questions about the experience, abilities and knowledge they will bring to the table if appointed, as well as their philosophies regarding issues specific to each board or commission.

For more information or to download an application, visit Litchfield-park.org. Completed applications may be mailed to City Clerk, 214 W. Wigwam Blvd., Litchfield Park, AZ 85340, emailed to troth@litchfied-park.org or faxed to 623-935-5427.
