Litchfield Park seeks bids for perimeter wall project

$800,000 budgeted for reconstruction

Posted

Litchfield Park is rebuilding a wall.

The city is asking construction companies to submit bids for phase five of its ongoing wall reconstruction project.

City Engineer Woody Scoutten said via email Thursday, Sept. 24, the city budgeted up to $800,000 for the project, which will include removing 3,150 lineal feet of existing concrete block wall on the east side of Litchfield Road between the golf cart underpass and Bird Lane and replacing it with a new 8-foot-tall concrete block wall.

Cost of previous phases, completed between May 2007 and December 2017, totaled $3.82 million. Cost information for the first phase, completed in 2004, was not available, Mr. Scoutten said.
