Goodyear candidates for mayor to take questions at in-person public forum

UPDATE June 9, 2022: The location for the Mayoral Candidate Forum has changed. It will now be held at Skyway Church on  14900 W. Van Buren Street, Goodyear, AZ 85338.

Candidates running for mayor of Goodyear will appear at an in-person forum hosted by Independent Newsmedia on Thursday, June 23 ahead of the Aug. 2 primary election. 

Mayor Joe Pizzillo, and write-in candidate Carlita Cotton will appear onstage together to answer questions about their platforms and where they stand on issues important to the growing city of Goodyear.

The forum will be moderated by Madeline Ackley Salazar, editor of the Goodyear Independent, and will be free and open to the public. The community event is being hosted by Skyway Church at 14900 W. Van Buren Street Goodyear, AZ 85338. The forum will be held in the Sanctuary, which is located in Building D. 

The forum will begin at 6 p.m. sharp and end around 7:15 p.m. Candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves before answering timed questions posed by our moderator. There will also be an audience Q&A portion after closing statements.
