Art and wine/craft brew enthusiasts who enjoy live music and food will find all of the above at the 23rd annual Litchfield Park Art & Wine Festival this weekend.

The festival at Wigwam Boulevard and Old Litchfield Road in downtown Litchfield Park will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 6 and 7. Parking and admission are free.

About 175 artists from throughout the Southwest, and from as far away as Hawaii and Alaska, will showcase works ranging bronze sculptures and wood carvings to blown glass, ceramics, leather work, home decor, fine art photography, jewelry and more, said Vermillion Promotions Executive Director Candy Vermillion, who organized the event with city Community & Recreation Services Director Tricia Kramer.

The venue’s beer and wine garden will open at 10 each morning. It has been expanded to allow patrons to socially distance while tasting craft brews and spirits from vendors including 1764 Vineyards and Four Tails Vineyard in Pearce, Birds & Barrels Vineyards in Willcox, Desert Diamond Distillery in Kingman, PRP Wine International, Saddle Mountain Brewing Company in Goodyear, Scale & Feather Meadery in Avondale, Schlossadler International Wines, Su Vino Winery in Scottsdale and Winery 101.

An array of beer and wine garden packages, which include five tasting tickets and a commemorative glass, will be available for $10 to $15.

Those who want to bypass lines at the gate can purchase tickets in advance at eventbrite.com. Additional tasting tickets available onsite only will be $2 for wines and $6 for beer and cocktails.

Musical performances will be held on the main stage, with tables set up nearby to allow audience members to socially distance.

Saturday’s lineup will feature Bluesman Mike & The Blues Review Band at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Sahnas Brothers at 10:15 a.m., Josh West Duo at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and HB Acoustic at 4 p.m.

Sunday’s lineup will include Josh West Duo at 9 and 11:30 a.m., HB Acoustic at 10:15 a.m., Bluesman Mike & The Blues Review Band at 1 and 4 p.m., and Sahnas Brothers at 2:30 p.m.

Food vendors will serve everything from barbecue, burgers and brats to Asian and Mexican dishes, with homemade ice cream, fine chocolates and other sweet treats for dessert.

COVID-19 safety

To ensure the safety of patrons, vendors and festival staff, a number of COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place during the festival.

Everyone at the event will be required to wear face coverings and socially distance when not eating or drinking, and the city will place signs around the ground as reminders.

Festival staff and vendors will undergo daily forehead temperature checks and will wear wristbands confirming they were successfully screened.

Vendors will be responsible for managing traffic flow at their booths, with a maximum of 10 guests allowed at any one time.

Hand-washing and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue, and hand sanitizers will be available at vendor booths.

For a full list of safety protocols, visit the city’s website at litchfield-park.org.
