Valley nonprofit offers free virtual personal finance seminars next week

With several people facing an uncertain economic future, a Valley nonprofit is offering residents a free chance to virtually evaluate their finances during the recession caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
A New Leaf, based in Mesa with an office in Glendale, is teaming with Operation Hope to host free virtual financial education and credit workshops. The Zoom seminars are aimed to help participants learn about establishing or increasing a credit score, creating a budget, how to read a credit report and what can be done to correct errors that may negatively affect a credit rating.
The workshops will be held 9-10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 and at the same respective times the following Monday and Tuesday, July 27 and 28. Registration is required.
