Valley caregiver nonprofit hires new senior director of services
Posted
Duet: Partners In Health & Aging has a new senior services director.
Wendy Cohen assumes a role where she will oversee Duet’s service areas and its mission to promote health and well-being through vitally needed services to homebound adults, family caregivers, faith communities and grandfamilies.
Duet is a nonprofit whose free-of-charge services are available in the greater Phoenix area.
“I was already familiar with Duet’s mission, but it wasn’t until I researched their breadth of services, values and guiding principles, that I knew it was an organization I wanted to be part of,” Ms. Cohen stated in a news release. “I have always had a passion for volunteering and giving back to the community. I am excited to be the senior director of services at Duet so I can help expand and coordinate services to those most in need in the greater Phoenix area.”
She brings more than 30 years of experience in strategic planning, revenue and fiscal management, and organizational and programmatic assessment. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health and society and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Prior to joining Duet, Ms. Cohen served as the interim executive director for the Phoenix Girls Chorus and president of Wendy Cohen Consulting.
