Peoria Unified Governing Board members at their April 9 governing board meeting approved two new elementary school principals to lead in the 2020-21 school year.
Paige Brill was appointed as principal at Sun Valley Elementary School, 8361 N. 95th Ave., Peoria, and Tonja Neve will serve as principal at Desert Valley Elementary School, 12901 N. 63rd Ave., Glendale.
Ms. Brill currently serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning: Innovation and Intervention for the Alhambra Elementary School District. Since 2003, she served in the roles of teacher, coach, program coordinator, assistant principal, principal and director within Alhambra. Ms. Brill has a bachelor’s degree from Western Oregon University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on English as a Second Language, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Ms. Neve currently serves as assistant principal at Lake Pleasant Elementary School, 31501 N. Westland Road, Peoria. She has been serving as a certified administrator and classroom instructor within Peoria Unified since 2007, at the elementary and high school levels. Ms. Neve has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, also from Arizona State University.
