Program to provide free books to Glendale kids coming soon

Parents take note — an opportunity to register your kids up to age 5 for free books is coming to Glendale.

The Glendale Woman’s Club is partnering with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to provide free monthly books to kids whose parents are Glendale residents. A registration event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Woman’s Club, located at 7032 N. 56th Ave.

Enrollment is based upon available funding, and registration is first come first served.

The club is a 501(c)(3) charitable service organization.

The Glendale Woman’s Club was first organized in 1901.
