The Speech-Language Pathology Program at Midwestern University’s College of Health Sciences-Arizona, in partnership with the Glendale Library, will be hosting a free series of one-hour meetings for parents of young children who are learning to read.

The Family Literacy Night Program will be a series of six one-hour meetings held once a month from Monday, June 21 until November. It is a free, family-centered program that aims to educate parents of children ages 3 to 4 years old by sharing tips regarding shared reading, demonstrating how to make literacy engaging and fun for their children, and providing education modeling on the strategies taught.

The sessions will be offered in English at the Glendale Foothills Library, 19055 N. 57th Ave., and in Spanish at the Glendale Heroes Regional Park Library, 6075 N. 83rd Ave.
