Lorene May Bullied

Posted

Lorene passed away October 15, 2019 in Phoenix, AZ. She was the widow of Richard Bullied but spent many happy years with her companion of 30 years, Russell Krauch.

Born in Princeton Indiana on May 8, 1928 to Hallie and Emma Lynch and raised on the family farm with her 8 brothers and 1 sister. Lorene moved to Phoenix in 1969 from Indianapolis Indiana and worked as a bookkeeper when most women of her era were encouraged to be homemakers. She was a whiz at numbers and will be remembered for her unceasing work ethic, strong will and quick wit all of which she was happy to instill in her children and grandchildren.

After her retirement from Hinkley’s Lighting in Phoenix, she refocused her energies into creative pursuits. She enjoyed making quilts, purses and other handmade treasures and personalizing them for family and friends. She continued to enjoy basketball and loved watching her beloved Phoenix Suns and occasionally shooting hoops when she had the opportunity.

She is survived by her brother, Virgil Lynch; children: Gary (Allison), Craig (Mary) and Marianne; her grandchildren: Kellie (Phil), Ashley (James), David (Kelsey), and Shane who serves in the United States Marines; and she has also been blessed with two great-grandchildren, Callum and Pippa.

Funeral services will be held November 9th at 11:00 A.M. at Sun City Church of the Nazarene, 14636 N. Del Webb Blvd. in Sun City.

In lieu of flowers you may contribute to the church or Americare Hospice in her memory.

She will be laid to rest in Indiana at her family home plot close to where she grew up.
