Glendale’s Family Bike Ride to host virtual challenge

Annual event coincides with Valley Bike Month

Posted

The annual Glendale Family Bike Ride has been reimagined for this year and will take place as a virtual ride.

The free virtual ride takes place April 10-17, and brings together residents to enjoy recreational biking, learn about bicycle safety, and explore Glendale bike lanes and pathways.

April is also Valley Bike Month.

How it works:

Register online, grab a helmet, check your bike, and take your family on a 6-mile bike ride in Glendale anytime between Saturday, April 10 through Saturday, April 17. Riders choose a 6-mile route of their choice or hop on a stationary bike and ride indoors.

Ride at your own pace and complete the ride anytime during the week. There are several bike paths and trails available in Glendale.

Visit glendaleaz.com/FamilyBikeRide for more information and to register.

Each participant who completes the ride will receive a Glendale Family Bike Ride fanny pack.

Participants are also invited to email pictures of themselves taking part to dludwig@glendaleaz.com, or to share them online using the hashtag #GlendaleBikeRide and to tag @glendaletransportation on Instagram and @GlendaleAZTransportation on Facebook.
