Glendale school to host Rosh Hashanah celebration

Sierra Verde Elementary School, 7241 W. Rose Garden Lane, Glendale, will host an outdoor celebration for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
Activities include a beekeeper demonstration and honey display, holiday craft and activities, a Shofar workshop, and Challah Baking. The event begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5.
“What better way to learn and prepare for the New Year, than through the hands-on experience,” Rabbi Lew, Director of Chabad of the West Valley, stated in a news release. “Come see, hear, taste, smell and touch the holiday traditions through fun and inviting activities.”
Cost is $18 per family.
