Dutch Bros

The proposed Dutch Bros location northeast of 59th Avenue and Bell Road is in a shopping center anchored by a Winco Foods. The property is zoned for commercial use, but the Planning Commission needs to approve a conditional use permit to allow for a dual-lane drive-thru at the shop. The coffee shop would be built on existing parking spaces between a BBVA Compass bank and a Diamond Kitchen & Bath and a Salon Boutique.

Other topics

The commission will also consider Thursday...

  • A rezone application for a 76-acre property near Sarival Avenue and Bethany Home Road called Bethany 303, which is in the process of being annexed into the city, to change from a rural zoning designation to a Planned Area Development. The property owner plans to construst 1.25 million square feet of industrial floor space.
  • A proposed General Plan text amendment eliminating a stipulation in the General Plan that Major General Plan amendments can only be made in a two-month window each year. Instead Major General Plan amendments could be proposed at any time of the year, based on a schedule that will be published in January of each year.
  • A conditional use permit to allow a Family Care Connections thrift store at 43rd and Olive avenues
  • A preliminary plat for a parcel of the 1,400-home StoneHaven housing development. The 21.9-acre parcel would include 112 homes.
  • A conditional use permit to allow for a cell tower disguised as an elm tree to be installed at West Glendale Baptist Church, at 67th and Maryland avenues
