Glendale Dunkin’ locations team with Red Cross to increase blood donations

Posted

Valley-wide Dunkin’ shops, including in Glendale, are teaming up with the American Red Cross to increase blood donations.

Throughout August, residents that give blood with the Red Cross in the Phoenix area will receive a coupon good for a free medium coffee and classic donut, while supplies last.

“Dunkin’ and our franchisees in Arizona are honored to partner with the American Red Cross during the month of August,” says Jamie Struwe, Dunkin’ field marketing manager, shared in a news release. “We hope the offer of a sweet reward will encourage more blood donors to roll up their sleeves and keep the nation’s blood supply flowing.”

Glendale Dunkin’ locations:

  • 13887 N. 59th Ave.
  • 20229 N. 67th Ave.
  • 5143 W. Olive Ave.
  • 5795 W. Bell Road
  • 7507 W. Rose Garden Lane

According to the Red Cross, every 2 seconds in the United States blood is needed to respond to patient emergencies, including accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease. The Red Cross must collect approximately 12,500 blood donations every day for patients at more than 2,500 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide.

To make an appointment to donate, call 1-800-RED CROSS, visit RedCrossBlood.org or download the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
